The Church of San Jaime Benidorm Old Town

The Church of San Jaime Benidorm Old Town

The Church of San Jaime Benidorm Old Town is always a hub of activity. Since the church was built way back in the 1700’s it has been a focal point in Benidorm Old Town. Now even more popular as a sightseeing attraction in Benidorm, inside is just as stunning at the outside.

Entry into the San Jaime Church is free, you will normally get people asking for money on the way in, but these are not part of the church. The church is located on the Plaza Castelar just on the way to the Placa del Castell.

Church of San Jaime Benidorm

San Jaime Church, or otherwise known as Iglesia de San Jaime y Santa Ana, is still a fully functioning church in Benidorm. If you happen to be here for any of the Benidorm Fiestas the church is also very active, normally a starting or finishing point for parades.

Inside the San Jaime Church it is decorated throughout with statues, stained glass windows and art.

It has a fully working pipe organ and plenty of pews to rest upon.

A small stall at the entrance sells mementos and here you can also make a donation if you wish.

Easter at San Jaime Church Benidorm is probably the most busiest of the calendar.

Up to 3 services a day are held at the church and it is vibrant with local fiestas.
