The Benidorm Cross | La Cruz de Benidorm

The Benidorm Cross is one of Benidorm’s most recognised landmarks. Also known as La Cruz de Benidorm, a trip to the cross rewards you with the most amazing views over Benidorm.

Many visitors to Benidorm make this journey to the Cross, it takes around 45-60 minutes depending on the pace you walk.

We strongly advise that if you are doing this walk in the summer months, take water, it gets very hot up here.

The Benidorm Cross

Back in the 1950’s, the locals of Benidorm placed this cross here to bring good luck, as many know who have been here it is now a symbol for those who have lost loved ones.

Although the local council try and remove notes, padlocks and plaques, they keep on appearing here, which in my view, is a nice touch to lost loved ones.

Getting to the cross for the first can be quite daunting. My first trip I took a wrong turn and ended on some off road beaten track.

Before you set of, let someone know you are going to the Benidorm Cross.

Print the route off from google maps. And make sure you have the correct footwear, it’s a long walk.

For those who want to get to the top but don’t fancy the walk, a taxi will get you pretty much close to the top costing around 5-8 Euros.

The walk down is much easier and don’t forget your camera to get those great shots over Benidorm!
