The Balcon del Mediterraneo Benidorm
The Balcon del Mediterraneo Benidorm, quite possibly one of the best places for views across Benidorm.
Benidorm Old Town has many places of interest, the Church of San Jamie, Tapas Alley, Placa del Castell, but you need to visit the Balcon del Mediterraneo to complete your journey through the Old Town.
As the names says, Balcon del Mediterraneo, it’s basically a balcony on the Mediterranean Sea.
Locates at the end of the Placa del Castell you come across some steps which take you to this little spot with big views.
If you like to take photos then you will have a feel here. You get awesome views across the Mediterranean Sea, over Levante Beach, Poniente Beach and across to Peacock Island.
There is also a telescope here so you can see further afield. Night time is equally as good, with the promenades all lit up this makes some fantastic photo opportunities.
The Balcon del Mediterraneo Benidorm is build on top of a rock platform.
It was once where a castle stood and was used to stop invading armies landing here.
When you are stood here and listening to the waves crash against the rock formations, it gives you that sense of just how close you are to the sea.
The stairs leading to the Balcon del Mediterraneo are quite steep. We do advise to take care when going up and down and be extra careful in the rain as can get slippy.
